Welcome everyone to Episode 63 of the Two Vets Talk Pets Podcast, where too much talking of pets is barely enough.
In this weeks episode, Robbie talks about the perils of being a vets’ cats and Lewis has been peddling his wares elsewares.
Lewis’ dentist put him onto an interesting article about whether we should be rethinking whether free range eggs are more for our benefit than chickens, Robbie talks about a frightening article about dogs getting very sick and even dying from being given Lectric Soda Powder by their owners, and Lewis also busts a little myth about exposing puppies to noises at puppy class may not actually do them any good.
Lewis then deep dives into Cognitive Dysfunction Syndrome – known as Doggie Alzheimers, Dogzheimers, Doggie Dementia. This common disease has several similarities to Human Alzheimers Disease.
The Acronym that Lewis Talks about is DISHAA…
D = Disorientation
I = Social Interactions
S = Sleep/Wake Cycles
H = House Soiling, Learning and Memory
A = Activity
A = Anxiety
